BA-Thesis: »POTT-À-PORTER«, Amina Falah

The 2020 book project »Pott-à-porter« is an strong but intimate portrait of a young, fashion aware generation in the Rhein-Ruhr metropolitan region. It reflects Amina’s starting thesis, that fashion, even high fashion, has deep roots in everyday street style created by a fashion-aware youth growing up in the industry-dominated, lively and versatile neighbourhoods of the Rurhgebiet. She follows these trails and shots them, right at the origins in cities as Duisburg or Oberhausen. The books is an inspiring approach to Ruhrpott-style fashion.
