Victor Daniel Enriquez Gomez
In his M.A. thesis »Datazier Lens – A Taxonomy of Typefaces based on PANOSE™, Bézier Curves and Cocoa Script« Victor Daniel Enriquez Gomez developed a plugin for the design software Sketch to automatically and interactively measure typographical features of typefaces. The plugin, implemented in Cacoa script, making strong use of SVG libraries. The plugin measures a set of attributes defined by and used for the PANOSE typeface classification system. In his work, Enriquez Gomez shows, that and how measurements can be used for typeface classification and how automated measurements could contribute to sorting of typefaces, and create a better overview over the vast field of typefaces designs in general.
