Kefan Weng
In his title sequence for the (fictional) sci-fi motion picture »Pendulum« Kefan Weng created genre-marking imagery in animations that combine atmospheric, neutral shots with unobtrusive typography and a soundscape – slowly building up enigmatic tension. The visual concept of the sequence is strongly based on symmetry, different light temperatures and slow-paced movements, sometimes created through subtly changing camera-angles. In creating the sequence, Kefan used 3d-renderings and tweaked the results in postproduction to create a distinct look, telling – but not spoiling! – the story of the movie to be introduced. The sequence was produced in FullHD and is 1:41 minutes long.
