A compilation of handcrafted and hand-printed linocut portraits, done by students of the Information and Communication Design, B.A. programme across various academic years, as part of the winter semester’s “Printing technologies” workshop at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. As a fundamental element of the degree curriculum, the workshop aimed to impart technical skills in block printmaking and silk screen printing, among others. Within the realm of linocut printmaking, the entire creative process was covered—from initial brainstorming to image transfer onto linoleum and carving strategies with a focus on line variety.
